R-3: Calculate Dimensions to Fabricate a Radial Door Liner

Overview:

You will learn to calculate the dimensions to fabricate a radial door liner

Key and critical concepts which you will learn

  • Calculations must be correct to two decimal places
  • Liner must fit on the chute plate

Tools, consumables, machinery and equipment required:

Plate, bending roller, oxy-acetylene equipment, punch and shear machine or drilling machine, countersink drill bit, calculator, note pad, ruler or tape

Application:

When a section or a wear plate needs to be replaced. Allow for the thickness of the plates. This must be done whether using rolled or fabricated sections. The parts will not fit together if this thickness is not taken into account
